In honor of the 50th anniversary of the USA’s moon landing, retired Mechanical Engineer and Manager at General Motors’s DELCO Division, Richard (Dick)Temple), will speak at a luncheon meeting of the Rotary Club of Goleta Noontime on July 23, 2019.
Dick worked for General Motors for 41 years, 12 of which were at Delco in Goleta. He supported the build and test of the Apollo Inertial Guidance Systems that were used to fly to the moon and return to earth. He also supported the build of the Titan Rocket Guidance Systems while at Delco. He is a longtime member of the Rotary Club of Goleta, and is active with two local speaking clubs as well as the Delco Retiree Group.
Mr. Temple will talk at the Noontime Rotary Club on July 23rd about his experience working as an engineer at Delco in support of the APOLLO space program, at the Frog Bar & Grill at the Glen Annie Golf Club, 11:45 – 1:00. Cost $20.00, RSVP required by July 21 to connieburns12@hotmail.com.
