In depth workshop addressing the warning signs of suicide and effective interventions to prevent suicides. Six hours of continuing education for professionals, yet also open to the public. Dr. Lisa Firestone, Director of Research and Education at the Glendon Association and Editor of PsychAlive, will lead the workshop. She has been involved in research and education on suicide prevention for 30 years and has traveled the world educating professionals and the public about the topic. Resource table staffed by the Santa Barbara Psychological Association available during lunch 12 – 1:30, community members welcome to stop by at that time for resources and information if they can’t attend the workshop.
