As a Latina immigrant filmmaker, Anayansi uses her documentary films and personal experiences to take us through the changing landscape of undocumented immigration in the U.S. throughout the last 20 years. Anayansi Prado was born in Panama and moved to the United States as a teenager, where she attended Boston University and received a B.A. in Film. Since then, she has been a visiting/adjunct professor at the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television, California State University, Northridge’s Journalism Department, and at Chapman University’s Dodge School of Film & Media Arts.
