2019 theme: A Tropical Holiday Affair
Windows will be on display December 5th – January 3rd
The 2nd Annual Holiday Window Walk is a luxury design and community building event centered on revitalizing downtown Santa Barbara during the holiday season. Vacant and active storefronts will be transformed into one-of-a-kind window designs through a collaboration of local designers and vendors.
A portion of the sponsorship proceeds will be donated to Heal The Ocean + The Bucket Brigade.
A little bit about the event:
In early 2018, while attending an event for design professionals, Cearnal Collective interior designers, Natalie Greenside and Melissa Mohr-Brown, were inspired to create their own event that would bring the local design community together, and add some much needed holiday bustle to State Street following the Montecito Mud Slide/Thomas Fire tragedies. Over cocktails, the girls conceptualized what is now an annual citywide holiday event. They were overwhelmed with the response from local designers, businesses, and real estate agents eager to contribute their time, goods, and commercial space. Spread out over six blocks of prime State Street real estate, the installations brought a little extra foot traffic, and a lot of holiday cheer to downtown Santa Barbara throughout the month of entire December.
This year brings a number of new designers and new window locations. Designers are encouraged to utilize local support and are given complete creative freedom to exhibit their interpretation of this year’s theme, A Tropical Holiday Affair.
