SBWPC’s Cosmopolitics is Back! You Are Invited

Following last year’s momentous 30th Anniversary celebrations, the Santa Barbara Women’s Political Committee (SBWPC) brings back “Cosmopolitics.” One of SBWPC’s most popular events. Cosmopolitics is a popular evening event of cocktails, friendship, and feminist political talk. Keynote Speaker CA Assembly Member Wendy Carrillo is a former journalist elected in 2017 to represent the 51st District (East Los Angeles), and just one of the evening’s highlights. Carrillo came to the US from El Salvador as a child, and became politically active by the time she was in high school. #MoreOfUs is Carrillo’s powerful digital platform for promoting feminist issues, as well as gender and racial equity in politics.
The Cosmopolitics 2019 event on Tuesday, December 10, from 5:30-7:30PM, at the Santa Barbara Club, brings together Keynote Speaker CA Assembly Member Wendy Carrillo, a diverse group of politically engaged feminists, and their supporters.
