Los Padres Forest Association invites you to help Clean Up Red Rock: Tuesday September 8th, 9am-2pm
September is Coastal Clean Up Month! The Santa Ynez River eventually flows to the ocean, but not everyone follows the policy of Leave No Trace, and we’re expecting a lot of activity out at one of Santa Barbara County’s favorite back-country swimming holes for Labor Day.
Join us as we help to clean up this beloved, beautiful place! Meet at 9-9:30 at the Red Rock Parking lot / Trail-head (34.534553, -119.712359). We will supply the trash bags but please bring what you need to keep yourself comfortable in the heat (water, sunscreen, hats, snacks/lunch, bathing suit for a post-cleanup dip) and of course your own COVID-19 PPE (masks required, your own gloves if you have them).
Stay as long as you can or leave when you need to head out – prizes will be given to volunteers who brings back the most litter!
