In early 2021, Ms. Kefela and Ms. Reynolds, working with Dr. Patricia Holden at UCSB, partnered with the Creeks Division to collect storm water samples and study whether microplastics were present in Santa Barbara’s storm drains, creeks, and street sweeper debris.
Learn what they have discovered so far, and what can be done to prevent microplastics from polluting our environment.
Ms. Kefela, Ms. Reynolds, and Water Quality Research Coordinator Jill Murray of the Creeks Division will be available for a Q&A session following the presentation.
