Cellist Anita Graef, recipient of the Gheens Young Artist 2022 Award and winner of the 2021 American Prize in Instrumental Performance, has been described as a musician of “superb artistry” (Pasadena Now) who plays with “high energy and polish” (WQXR). She has earned recognition for her music making as an artist who is equally at home exploring traditional as well as contemporary works, along with a deep commitment to service, outreach and education. Notable appearances include features in Strings Magazine, as well as Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert series, and “Concerts from the Library of Congress.”
Pianist Louise Chan, a native of Ottawa, Canada, and winner of the Canadian Music Competition, is a versatile classical pianist, chamber musician, orchestral keyboardist, and music educator. She is currently on the piano faculty at the Music Institute of Chicago. Dr. Chan held a position as Principal Pianist of the Madison Symphony Orchestra from 2007-2010, and has served as a substitute keyboardist with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra since 2017.
