If you or anyone you know are looking for a new pet, ASAP Cats (ASAP) is in need of a hero. The organization recently had an unprecedented number of kittens enter the shelter, totaling over 130 in ASAP’s care. While familiar with large influxes, ASAP is prioritizing the placement of these kittens as quickly as possible.
To help facilitate placement, ASAP Cats’ next adoption event will take place on Saturday, October 29th from 10am — 3pm. The generosity of the Santa Barbara community has always proved effective at finding forever homes for these cats, so ASAP is hoping for another large turnout. Additionally, all adoption fees are waived for the month of October, and there are plenty of walk-in opportunities for visitors to meet the cats and kittens.
Not only is it paramount to help the lives of these kittens and find them a home to go to, but time is of the essence. A kitten’s formative years are meant to be spent in a home, allowing them the freedom to grow beyond a shelter’s walls and properly socialize. Consider adopting a senior cat or a couple of kittens (oftentimes kittens come in bonded pairs) and helping give these animals a proper upbringing.
These cats deserve a chance to experience life in a loving home, so become an ASAP hero today and give a cat or kitten another chance. You can be the difference in saving a life.
ASAP Cats is an organization dedicated to saving the lives of cats in Santa Barbara County by providing shelter, veterinary care, behavioral support, adoption and foster services, education, and community outreach.
